fighting anorexia!

I have found a most yummy recipe for custard. Can be made as thick as you like; either to pour over dessert, or fill pastries etc!

Put 1 cup milk in a saucepan with some vanilla flavouring (bean, essence, whatever...). Bring to the boil.
While that's happening, put three egg yolks, two tablespoons of cornfour and 1/3 cup caster sugar in a bowl. Beat till thick and creamy.
Add boiling milk to egg mix slowly. Continue to beat while you do so (unless you like lumpy custard).
Bung the lot back in the pot, and stir/ heat till it boils and thickens.

Most tasty. Kinda dangerous, too.

Mmm. Sounds yummy, and like it would work with skim milk. Huzzah! Will have to try to stop myself making it till I get over this cold, it doesn't sound very healthy.

Just made this with skim milk, it's great :) Though I found I had to microwave it for a bit to get it to set (my secret custard trick)
